One week down..
Well,I have been a busy girl over the weekend!BUT...I didn't stray from my plan!!
Making breakfast healthy seems quite natural...one key is to make sure you actually eat breakfast. On Saturday it was tough, because I had to be at the salon at 9:00...and my first client brought me cupcakes for my tip.Oh,they looked YUMMY!!! In the past(about 7 days before) I would have ate those ASAP...BUT, I didn't eat them in the morning.I did eat one later on in the day(and gave one away) .
So, onto week 2 ...I am super exited to continue on my plan. I would love little tips and or recipe's of yummy food for breakfast!
Thank you all for coming along on my Journey!

Wow...who would have thunk?
Feeling pretty good, not gonna lie...I kinda want to keep eating healthy all day after I start my morning off so good.I am also drinking more water. It is so easy to do this.
I am starting a grocery list for my weekly shopping so I can ease in to incorporating into our house slowly but surely.I am also making sure my roomies(Lorenzo &Rodney)are aware that these foods are for all of us,no food separation in this house hold. Why would anyone try to keep this yummy goodness away from the rest of the family? If I can get them to eat healthy as a result of me eating healthy that is killing two birds...
Here is my list of weekly morning staples:
*Fresh berries (or some big bags of frozen, they are just as good if you find yourself going thru a ton)
*Fresh walnuts (buy in bulk..Winco has a great selection of bulk foods)
*Oatmeal (also great in bulk on sale at Fred Meyers for $.49 a lb.)
*Non- fat or low- fat greek yogurt(I get mine plain or vanilla,I like to put my own berries in it)
*Eggs
*Almond milk(make your oatmeal with it lots of protein)
That is my breakfast foods to keep on hand...I am sure I will add as I go but this will keep breakfast interesting!
Remember is is super important you don't skip this meal!
P.S. Please read my first post "Oh My G...." if you haven't already...to make sense of these posts!
Thank you,

Day Two...INTERESTING...
Random thoughts...as I went thru my breakfast routine yesterday I really thought this just seems too easy! From the time I woke up tell noon I only put healthy food in my mouth, low fat,NO carbs,No sugar...I hadn't gone shopping yet so I had two eggs and one slice of white cheese. That's all I had here at the house! But if you remember this is the beauty of this new plan, you don't HAVE to go shopping JUST to start. NO EXCUSES...Here is a idea of what I usually have:2-3 eggs(depends on if they are fried or scrambled) 2 slices of cheese(per egg) 2 slices of white bread with a lot of butter ! Lets count those calories....Well I don't actually have a calorie counter, because I really had no need for one.You get the point tho...cut probably in half...EASY!!!
Right at noon my "One meal at a time"was over,I bet you are wondering did I go straight to the butter?or make something super fattening...The answer is NOPE...I actually felt like I didn't want to,like I felt like making better choices. That totally didn't last,I did end up eating what I normally would eat,but I didn't feel like I had to make up for a lost meal, and that was good! So, all in all I am on track.Day two almost noon, and I had a very healthy breakfast. One meal at a time is my motto...I feel great because I really feel like I am setting myself up for success.
I would recommend journaling your new way of eating, keeping track of your thoughts and ideas...
Who wants to know my starting weight...Kinda afraid of putting it down,I really don't want Rodney to know. But I want to because I would be committing to changing it,and I would have record of it.Let me know by posting a comment on the blog! I think you will be shocked by it ...I know I was!
Also, If you or any body you know that would like to join me in this journey please share my blog with them! Who knows you might be changing someones life!
Love you guys,
Shannon

Oh My G...!!!
So, here it goes. I stepped on the scale yesterday, umm ya,I freaked out! It actually said to me...YOU ARE THE BIGGEST YOU HAVE EVER BEEN...DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!
I knew it,I have felt it for awhile.I know I have to change things.I have been feeling down for the last few weeks. I have been waiting for someone else to make my move.It just seems if I didn't go that route I really didn't know where to "start" on this journey. So,I waited and waited ...January...February...and now it is the middle of MARCH.I was growing and growing.Nothing to wear,so I would rather stay in the house then go out. Then I get bored, then I eat...so that leads to my heaviest ever...WTF!!!
I can't keep doing this,I feel like shit and I look the worst I have ever looked!
So, while I was taking a shower I had a aha moment(more like 30 min.)The thought of starting a new "DIET"seemed very overwhelming, like when you walk into your cluttered office to clean it...and you look at it and turn right back around and walk away. But,we all know if you tackle it a pile at a time it seems much more doable. That is how I am going to go about my new "plan".It won't be a quick fix,but I really feel it work.
Here is another overwhelming thought...there are a lot of "diets"out there...a ton...and to me I would like to try them,I see all my friends on FB trying this, and that and really working for them ,but I swear it takes at least $200 to start any of these.Whether it be the program or all the food you have to buy to start the program ,you have to admit it is very expensive to start a new diet or eating regimen.
I just DON'T have the money to do that ,so do I '"WAIT" again? NO ,remember I had a aha moment that solves these "excuses".
Here is my plan:
I am going to change 1 meal at a time. So, for the next three weeks I am only focusing on Breakfast.I won't have fatty, carby, sugary breakfast..That way,I only have to focus on eating healthy for Breakfast. Not alot of grocery's,not alot of meal planning, and not alot of prep...but I KNOW I can shave off at least 200 calories every morning. for three weeks this is my focus. I googled low-fat,low carb, high energy breakfasts, that is what I will be doing.
They say after 21 days you can start a new habit...
Here is my schedule:
1st 3 weeks- breakfast
2nd 3 weeks-breakfast(new habit)&Lunch
3rd 3 weeks-breakfast&lunch(new habit)&Snacks
4th 3weeks-breakfast&lunch&snacks(new habit)&Dinner
5th 3 weeks-breakfast&lunch&snacks&dinner(new habit)&Sweet treats
In 15 weeks I will be eating way healthier and feeling way better...it doesn't matter how much I lose, losing will be inevitable, I will be feeling amazing.
So, my focus for these next three weeks is breakfast. Not overwhelming to me at all.I will blog recipes , healthy tips along my Journey...and possible pictures! ( I love pictures) I would love to for all you to follow me and give me moral support.Share my blog with anyone who is feeling overwhelmed with changing everything at once.Let's just start "One meal at a time"
Thank you!
